As a writer do you write chronologically?
Hi Zeenat - good question and I'm often asked this. The answer is no, but I'm not sure if that's due to my own quirks! I have an overall arc in my head, so I know where I'm going from and to, but this can flex. Then, as I'm used to writing for musical theatre, I tend to write the peak points first, then thread them together. At least until the last third of the narrative, then for some reason I write that part chronologically - a bit like a sprint to the finish!
